1 »Si alguien ofrece ganado vacuno al Señor como sacrificio de comunión, deberá presentarle un animal sin defecto, sea macho o hembra. 2 Pondrá su mano sobre la cabeza del animal, al que degollará a la entrada de la Tienda de reunión. Luego los hijos de Aarón, los sacerdotes, derramarán la sangre alrededor del altar. 3 El oferente presentará al Señor, como ofrenda puesta al fuego, las siguientes partes del sacrificio de comunión: la grasa que recubre los intestinos y la que se adhiere a estos, 4 los dos riñones y la grasa que los recubre, la grasa que recubre los lomos, y también el lóbulo del hígado, el cual se extraerá junto con los riñones. 5 Entonces los hijos de Aarón quemarán todo esto en el altar, encima del holocausto que está sobre la leña encendida. Es una ofrenda puesta al fuego cuyo aroma es grato al Señor.

6 »Si el sacrificio de comunión es de ganado ovino, el oferente deberá presentarle al Señor un animal sin defecto, sea macho o hembra. 7 Si la ofrenda es un cordero, lo presentará ante el Señor 8 y le impondrá la mano sobre la cabeza, degollando luego al animal ante la Tienda de reunión. Luego los hijos de Aarón derramarán la sangre alrededor del altar. 9 El oferente presentará al Señor, como ofrenda puesta al fuego, las siguientes partes de este sacrificio: la grasa, la cola entera (la cual cortará junto al espinazo), la grasa que recubre los intestinos y la que se adhiere a estos, 10 los dos riñones y la grasa que los recubre, la grasa que recubre los lomos, y también el lóbulo del hígado, el cual se extraerá junto con los riñones. 11 Entonces el sacerdote quemará todo esto en el altar. Es una comida, una ofrenda puesta al fuego ante el Señor.

12 »Si la ofrenda es una cabra, la presentará ante el Señor 13 poniendo la mano sobre la cabeza del animal, al que degollará ante la Tienda de reunión. Luego los hijos de Aarón derramarán la sangre alrededor del altar. 14 El oferente presentará al Señor, como ofrenda puesta al fuego, las siguientes partes del animal: la grasa que recubre los intestinos y la que se adhiere a estos, 15 los dos riñones y la grasa que los recubre, la grasa que recubre los lomos, y también el lóbulo del hígado, el cual se extraerá junto con los riñones. 16 Entonces el sacerdote quemará todo esto en el altar. Es una comida, una ofrenda puesta al fuego cuyo aroma es grato. Toda la grasa pertenece al Señor.

17 »Este será un estatuto perpetuo para los descendientes de ustedes, dondequiera que habiten: no se comerán la grasa ni la sangre».

“Si alguien ofrece ganado vacuno al Señor como sacrificio de comunión, deberá presentarle un animal sin defecto, sea macho o hembra.” [versículo 1, NVI]. La ofrenda de paz era también llamada ofrenda de comunión. La característica sobresaliente es la comunión ya que no solo Dios recibe una parte, también el sacerdote y el que la ofrece. Algo parecido experimentamos cuando celebramos la comunión, la Cena del Señor, donde Su pueblo unido ofrece a Dios su adoración y también todos podemos participar. Todos, es decir todos los que un día reconocimos el sacrificio de Cristo, el Cordero de Dios, que da paz a nuestro corazón. En las palabras mismas de Jesús, no es la momentánea paz que el mundo da, es la paz de Dios que sobrepasa nuestro entendimiento. Jesus nos trae paz porque Él es el autor de nuestra paz, es decir, hizo nuestra paz mediante la sangre de Su cruz [Colosenses 1:20] y al recibirle a Él como Señor y Salvador, gozamos de paz porque Él mismo es nuestra paz [Efesios 2:14]. Como solemos cantar” En un mundo que se encuentra en guerra y la soledad es muy común, en un mundo lleno de problemas Tú, Jesús, sigues brindando paz. ¡Te doy gracias, gracias, gracias por haberte conocido!

Leviticus 3: The Fellowship Offering.

1 “‘If your offering is a fellowship offering, and you offer an animal from the herd, whether male or female, you are to present before the Lord an animal without defect. 2 You are to lay your hand on the head of your offering and slaughter it at the entrance to the tent of meeting. Then Aaron’s sons the priests shall splash the blood against the sides of the altar. 3 From the fellowship offering you are to bring a food offering to the Lord: the internal organs and all the fat that is connected to them, 4 both kidneys with the fat on them near the loins, and the long lobe of the liver, which you will remove with the kidneys. 5 Then Aaron’s sons are to burn it on the altar on top of the burnt offering that is lying on the burning wood; it is a food offering, an aroma pleasing to the Lord.

6 “‘If you offer an animal from the flock as a fellowship offering to the Lord, you are to offer a male or female without defect. 7 If you offer a lamb, you are to present it before the Lord, 8 lay your hand on its head and slaughter it in front of the tent of meeting. Then Aaron’s sons shall splash its blood against the sides of the altar. 9 From the fellowship offering you are to bring a food offering to the Lord: its fat, the entire fat tail cut off close to the backbone, the internal organs and all the fat that is connected to them, 10 both kidneys with the fat on them near the loins, and the long lobe of the liver, which you will remove with the kidneys. 11 The priest shall burn them on the altar as a food offering presented to the Lord.

12 “‘If your offering is a goat, you are to present it before the Lord, 13 lay your hand on its head and slaughter it in front of the tent of meeting. Then Aaron’s sons shall splash its blood against the sides of the altar. 14 From what you offer you are to present this food offering to the Lord: the internal organs and all the fat that is connected to them, 15 both kidneys with the fat on them near the loins, and the long lobe of the liver, which you will remove with the kidneys. 16 The priest shall burn them on the altar as a food offering, a pleasing aroma. All the fat is the Lord’s.

17 “‘This is a lasting ordinance for the generations to come, wherever you live: You must not eat any fat or any blood.’”

“If your offering is a Peace-Offering and you present an animal from the herd, either male or female, it must be an animal without any defect.” [verse 1, the Message]. The peace offering was also called the fellowship offering. The outstanding characteristic is the communion experienced not only with God who receives a part of the offering, but also the priest and the one who offers it. We experience something similar when we celebrate communion, the Lord’s Supper, where His people offer their worship to God and we all can also participate of it. All, that is, all those who one day acknowledged the sacrifice of Christ, the Lamb of God, who brings peace to our heart. In the very words of Jesus, it is not the momentary peace that the world gives, it is the peace of God that surpasses our understanding. Jesus brings us peace because He is the author of our peace, that is, He made our peace through the blood of His cross [Colossians 1:20] and when we receive Him as Lord and Savior, we enjoy peace through Him who is our peace [Ephesians 2: 14]. As we usually sing “In a world that is at war and loneliness is so very common, in a world full of problems, Jesus, you, continue offering us peace. I thank you; I thank you Lord, I thank you for having met you!
