Proverbios 15: La blanda respuesta quita la ira.
1 LA blanda respuesta quita la ira: Mas la palabra áspera hace subir el furor.
2 La lengua de los sabios adornará la sabiduría: Mas la boca de los necios hablará sandeces.
3 Los ojos de Jehová están en todo lugar, Mirando á los malos y á los buenos.
4 La sana lengua es árbol de vida: Mas la perversidad en ella es quebrantamiento de espíritu.
5 El necio menosprecia el consejo de su padre: Mas el que guarda la corrección, vendrá á ser cuerdo.
6 En la casa del justo hay gran provisión; Empero turbación en las ganancias del impío.
7 Los labios de los sabios esparcen sabiduría: Mas no así el corazón de los necios.
8 El sacrificio de los impíos es abominación á Jehová: Mas la oración de los rectos es su gozo.
9 Abominación es á Jehová el camino del impío: Mas él ama al que sigue justicia.
10 La reconvención es molesta al que deja el camino: Y el que aborreciere la corrección, morirá.
11 El infierno y la perdición están delante de Jehová: Cuánto más los corazones de los hombres!
12 El escarnecedor no ama al que le reprende; Ni se allega á los sabios.
13 El corazón alegre hermosea el rostro: Mas por el dolor de corazón el espíritu se abate.
14 El corazón entendido busca la sabiduría: Mas la boca de los necios pace necedad.
15 Todos los días del afligido son trabajosos: Mas el de corazón contento tiene un convite continuo.
16 Mejor es lo poco con el temor de Jehová, Que el gran tesoro donde hay turbación.
17 Mejor es la comida de legumbres donde hay amor, Que de buey engordado donde hay odio.
18 El hombre iracundo mueve contiendas: Mas el que tarde se enoja, apaciguará la rencilla.
19 El camino del perezoso es como seto de espinos: Mas la vereda de los rectos como una calzada.
20 El hijo sabio alegra al padre: Mas el hombre necio menosprecia á su madre.
21 La necedad es alegría al falto de entendimiento: Mas el hombre entendido enderezará su proceder.
22 Los pensamientos son frustrados donde no hay consejo; Mas en la multitud de consejeros se afirman.
23 Alégrase el hombre con la respuesta de su boca: Y la palabra á su tiempo, cuán buena es!
24 El camino de la vida es hacia arriba al entendido, Para apartarse del infierno abajo.
25 Jehová asolará la casa de los soberbios: Mas él afirmará el término de la viuda.
26 Abominación son á Jehová los pensamientos del malo: Mas las expresiones de los limpios son limpias.
27 Alborota su casa el codicioso: Mas el que aborrece las dádivas vivirá.
28 El corazón del justo piensa para responder: Mas la boca de los impíos derrama malas cosas.
29 Lejos está Jehová de los impíos: Mas él oye la oración de los justos.
30 La luz de los ojos alegra el corazón; Y la buena fama engorda los huesos.
31 La oreja que escucha la corrección de vida, Entre los sabios morará.
32 El que tiene en poco la disciplina, menosprecia su alma: Mas el que escucha la corrección, tiene entendimiento.
33 El temor de Jehová es enseñanza de sabiduría: Y delante de la honra está la humildad.

A veces más es menos y menos, es más. “Más vale tener poco, con el temor del Señor, que tener grandes tesoros y vivir llenos de angustia.” [versículo 16, Nueva Traducción Viviente]. El siguiente versículo agrega: “Es mejor comer verduras sazonadas con amor, que banquete de carne sazonado con odio.” [versículo 17, Versión Nueva Biblia Viva]. Varios proverbios apuntan la misma verdad. Muchas veces la riqueza controla a su dueño y no su dueño a la riqueza. Como Russ Prince lo describe, es la mentalidad de “Tengo el jet de $ 5 millones. Quiero el jet de 10 millones de dólares … es simplemente un reflejo de lo que todos en cada nivel de ingresos quieren: algo más.”. Finalmente, la ambición, el amor al dinero, destruye muchas familias [versículo 27], especialmente al momento de repartir una herencia, sea grande o sea modesta. “Por supuesto, la religión cristiana hace que nuestra vida sea mucho mejor, pero sólo cuando uno está contento con lo que tiene.” [1 Timoteo 6:6, Traducción en el lenguaje actual]. Porque “no es rico el que más tiene, sino el que menos necesita.” [autor desconocido]. Y hablando de ricos y pobres, ustedes “Ya conocen la generosidad de Cristo Jesús, nuestro Señor, que, siendo rico, se hizo pobre por ustedes para que su pobreza los hiciera ricos.” [2 Corintios 8:9, Biblia Latinoamericana]. Si, tengo a Jesus, no necesito nada más porque quien tiene a Cristo, tiene todo. “ANTES QUE SER REY DE DOMINIOS, MIL, Y VIVIR EN LA MALDAD, PREFIERO A CRISTO Y SÓLO A ÉL QUE LO QUE ESTE MUNDO DAR.” [Oscar C. 1 A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger.
2 The tongue of the wise useth knowledge aright: but the mouth of fools poureth out foolishness.
3 The eyes of the Lord are in every place, beholding the evil and the good.
4 A wholesome tongue is a tree of life: but perverseness therein is a breach in the spirit.
5 A fool despiseth his father’s instruction: but he that regardeth reproof is prudent.
6 In the house of the righteous is much treasure: but in the revenues of the wicked is trouble.
7 The lips of the wise disperse knowledge: but the heart of the foolish doeth not so.
8 The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the Lord: but the prayer of the upright is his delight.
9 The way of the wicked is an abomination unto the Lord: but he loveth him that followeth after righteousness.
10 Correction is grievous unto him that forsaketh the way: and he that hateth reproof shall die.
11 Hell and destruction are before the Lord: how much more then the hearts of the children of men?
12 A scorner loveth not one that reproveth him: neither will he go unto the wise.
13 A merry heart maketh a cheerful countenance: but by sorrow of the heart the spirit is broken.
14 The heart of him that hath understanding seeketh knowledge: but the mouth of fools feedeth on foolishness.
15 All the days of the afflicted are evil: but he that is of a merry heart hath a continual feast.
16 Better is little with the fear of the Lord than great treasure and trouble therewith.
17 Better is a dinner of herbs where love is, than a stalled ox and hatred therewith.
18 A wrathful man stirreth up strife: but he that is slow to anger appeaseth strife.
19 The way of the slothful man is as an hedge of thorns: but the way of the righteous is made plain.
20 A wise son maketh a glad father: but a foolish man despiseth his mother.
21 Folly is joy to him that is destitute of wisdom: but a man of understanding walketh uprightly.
22 Without counsel purposes are disappointed: but in the multitude of counsellors they are established.
23 A man hath joy by the answer of his mouth: and a word spoken in due season, how good is it!
24 The way of life is above to the wise, that he may depart from hell beneath.
25 The Lord will destroy the house of the proud: but he will establish the border of the widow.
26 The thoughts of the wicked are an abomination to the Lord: but the words of the pure are pleasant words.
27 He that is greedy of gain troubleth his own house; but he that hateth gifts shall live.
28 The heart of the righteous studieth to answer: but the mouth of the wicked poureth out evil things.
29 The Lord is far from the wicked: but he heareth the prayer of the righteous.
30 The light of the eyes rejoiceth the heart: and a good report maketh the bones fat.
31 The ear that heareth the reproof of life abideth among the wise.
32 He that refuseth instruction despiseth his own soul: but he that heareth reproof getteth understanding.
33 The fear of the Lord is the instruction of wisdom; and before honour is humility.

Sometimes more in less and, less, is more. “It’s better to obey the Lord and have only a little, than to be very rich and terribly confused. it’s better to obey the Lord and have only a little, than to be very rich and terribly confused.” [verse 16, Common English Bible Version]. The next verse adds: “A simple meal with love is better than a feast where there is hatred. “[verse 1v7, New Living Bible Version]. Several proverbs point to the same truth. Many times, wealth controls its owner and not the other way around. As Russ Prince describes it, it’s the mentality of “I have a $5 million jet. I want a $10 million jet… it’s simply a reflection of what everyone at every income level wants: something more. “. Finally, ambition, the love of money, destroys many families [verse 27], especially when distributing an inheritance, whether large or modest. “A God-like life gives us much when we are happy for what we have.” [1 Timothy 6:6, New Living Version]. Because “it is not rich who has the most, but the one who needs the least.” [author unknown]. And speaking of rich and poor, “You know that our Lord Jesus Christ was kind enough to give up all his riches and become poor, so that you could become rich.” [2 Corinthians 8:9, Contemporary English Version]. Yes, I have Jesus, I don’t need anything else because whoever has Christ has everything. ” Than to be the king of a vast domain or be held in sin’s dread sway; I’d rather have Jesus than anything this world affords today.” [Oscar C.
