1 Del Señor es la tierra y todo cuanto hay en ella,
el mundo y cuantos lo habitan;
2 porque él afirmó la tierra sobre los mares,
la estableció sobre los ríos.

3 ¿Quién puede subir al monte del Señor?
¿Quién puede estar en su Lugar Santo?

“¿Quién es este Rey de gloria? Jehová el fuerte y valiente, Jehová el poderoso en batalla … Él es el Rey de la gloria.” (Salmos 24:8, 10, RVR1960). “La gloria es efímera, pero la oscuridad es para siempre.” – Napoleón Bonaparte. A lo largo de la historia, poderosos reyes y emperadores han tenido su “momento de gloria”, pero ahora muchos de ellos no son más que un recuerdo. El Salmo 24 nos presenta a otro Rey, uno cuyo reinado trasciende el tiempo y las limitaciones humanas. El momento de la coronación de un rey terrenal está rodeado de celebraciones y honor. Sin embargo, la coronación de Jesús como Rey fue muy diferente. La Biblia relata este evento con un contraste impactante: “Pilato también escribió un letrero y lo puso sobre la cruz. Y estaba escrito: JESÚS EL NAZARENO, EL REY DE LOS JUDÍOS.” (Juan 19:19, LBLA). Los evangelios describen con dolor la escena de su coronación: “Coronaron con espinas a Jesús, mi Salvador. Despreciado y humillado fue. Escupieron en su rostro y dijeron: ‘Crucifícale: culpable es’.” – Ray Overholt. A diferencia de la gloria terrenal, que es fugaz, la gloria de Jesús es eterna. Y lejos de ser consumida por la oscuridad, Él trae una luz que nunca puede ser apagada: “La luz brilla en la oscuridad, y la oscuridad jamás podrá apagarla.” (Juan 1:5, NTV). Jesús, el Rey de gloria, es digno de toda honra y adoración. Su reinado no tiene fin, y Su luz ilumina incluso las sombras más profundas de nuestras vidas. ¿Estás dispuesto a abrir las puertas de tu corazón y dejar entrar al Rey de gloria?

“Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle … He is the King of glory.” (Psalm 24:8, 10, NKJV) “Glory is fleeting, but darkness is forever.” – Napoleon Bonaparte Throughout history, powerful kings and emperors have had their “moment of glory,” but now many of them are nothing more than a memory. Psalm 24 introduces us to another King, one whose reign transcends time and human limitations. The coronation of an earthly king is surrounded by celebration and honor. However, the coronation of Jesus as King was vastly different. The Bible recounts this event with striking contrast: “Pilate also wrote an inscription and put it on the cross. It read: JESUS THE NAZARENE, THE KING OF THE JEWS.” (John 19:19, NASB) The Gospels painfully describe the scene of His coronation: “They bound the hands of Jesus in the garden where He prayed; They led Him thro’ the streets in shame. They spat upon the Savior so pure and free from sin; They said, “Crucify Him; He’s to blame.” [Ray Overholt]. Unlike earthly glory, which is fleeting, the glory of Jesus is eternal. Far from being consumed by darkness, He brings a light that can never be extinguished: “The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it.” (John 1:5, NLT) Jesus, the King of glory, is worthy of all honor and worship. His reign has no end, and His light shines into even the deepest shadows of our lives. Are you willing to open the doors of your heart and let the King of glory in?
