Números 33: Ruta de Israel por el desierto.
1 Cuando los israelitas salieron de Egipto bajo la dirección de Moisés y de Aarón, marchaban ordenadamente, como un ejército. 2 Por orden del Señor, Moisés anotaba cada uno de los lugares de donde partían y adonde llegaban. Esta es la ruta que siguieron:
3 El día quince del mes primero, un día después de la Pascua, los israelitas partieron de Ramsés. Marcharon con aire triunfal a la vista de todos los egipcios, 4 mientras estos sepultaban a sus primogénitos, a quienes el Señor había herido de muerte. El Señor también dictó sentencia contra los dioses egipcios.
5 Los israelitas partieron de Ramsés y acamparon en Sucot.
6 Partieron de Sucot y acamparon en Etam, en los límites del desierto.
7 Partieron de Etam, pero volvieron a Pi Hajirot, al este de Baal Zefón, y acamparon cerca de Migdol.
8 Partieron de Pi Hajirot y cruzaron el mar hasta llegar al desierto. Después de andar tres días por el desierto de Etam, acamparon en Mara.
9 Partieron de Mara con dirección a Elim, donde había doce manantiales y setenta palmeras, y acamparon allí.
10 Partieron de Elim y acamparon cerca del mar Rojo.
11 Partieron del mar Rojo y acamparon en el desierto de Sin.
12 Partieron del desierto de Sin y acamparon en Dofcá.
13 Partieron de Dofcá y acamparon en Alús.
14 Partieron de Alús y acamparon en Refidín, donde los israelitas no tenían agua para beber.
15 Partieron de Refidín y acamparon en el desierto de Sinaí.
16 Partieron del desierto de Sinaí y acamparon en Quibrot Hatavá.

37 Partieron de Cades y acamparon en el monte Hor, en la frontera con Edom. 38 Por orden del Señor, el sacerdote Aarón subió al monte Hor, donde murió el día primero del mes quinto, cuarenta años después de que los israelitas habían salido de Egipto. 39 Aarón murió en el monte Hor a la edad de ciento veintitrés años.
40 El rey cananeo de Arad, que vivía en el Néguev de Canaán, se enteró de que los israelitas se acercaban.
41 Partieron del monte Hor y acamparon en Zalmona.
42 Partieron de Zalmona y acamparon en Punón.
43 Partieron de Punón y acamparon en Obot.
44 Partieron de Obot y acamparon en Iyé Abarín, en la frontera con Moab.
45 Partieron de Iyé Abarín y acamparon en Dibón Gad.
46 Partieron de Dibón Gad y acamparon en Almón Diblatayin.
47 Partieron de Almón Diblatayin y acamparon en los campos de Abarín, cerca de Nebo.

Instrucciones acerca de la tierra prometida
50 Allí en las llanuras de Moab, cerca del Jordán, a la altura de Jericó, el Señor dijo a Moisés: 51 «Habla con los israelitas y diles que, una vez que crucen el Jordán y entren en Canaán, 52 deberán expulsar del país a todos sus habitantes y destruir todos los ídolos e imágenes fundidas que ellos tienen. Ordénales que arrasen todos sus altares paganos 53 y conquisten la tierra y la habiten, porque yo se la he dado a ellos como heredad. 54 La tierra deberán repartirla por sorteo, según sus clanes. La tribu más numerosa recibirá la heredad más grande, mientras que la tribu menos numerosa recibirá la heredad más pequeña. Todo lo que les toque en el sorteo será de ellos, y recibirán su heredad según sus familias patriarcales.
55 »Pero si no expulsan a los habitantes de la tierra que ustedes van a poseer, sino que los dejan allí, esa gente les causará problemas, como si tuvieran clavadas astillas en los ojos y espinas en los costados. 56 Entonces yo haré con ustedes lo que había pensado hacer con ellos».

“Cuando los israelitas salieron de Egipto bajo la dirección de Moisés y de Aarón, marchaban ordenadamente, como un ejército. Por orden del Señor, Moisés anotaba cada uno de los lugares de donde partían y adonde llegaban. Esta es la ruta que siguieron …” [versículos 1 y2, NVI]. ¡Por fin llegaron a la última barrera! Los aviones tienen una caja negra. Los barcos tienen un diario de navegación o bitácora de viaje. Moisés por orden de Dios escribió las salidas de cada una de las etapas de la larga travesía por el desierto. La dirección de la casa donde pasaste tu niñez o donde criaste a tus hijos quizás no tenga mucha importancia para el resto del mundo. Sin embargo, para ti es un cofre de recuerdos de etapas de tu vida, algunas lindas y otras acompañadas de lágrimas. Todas ellas, agradables o difíciles, son parte de tu historia. Solo tú, al compartirlas con tus hijos, le das sentido e historia a cada lugar y a cada fecha. De la misma manera este registro evocaría muchas vivencias para el pueblo de Israel. Pero también hay que mirar hacia adelante. Están por cruzar la última barrera. Todos los que salieron de Egipto quedarían en el recuerdo. La nueva generación tendría un nuevo comienzo. Dios les alerta de los peligros. “Conquisten el país y establézcanse en él, porque yo se lo entrego a ustedes para que lo ocupen” versículo 53 [Versión Dios Habla Hoy]. Conquista, establécete, y ocupa [y no te olvides de echar fuera a lo que a Dios no le agrada.] No olvides el pasado, pero lucha por el futuro.
Numbers 33: Stages in Israel’s Journey.
1 Here are the stages in the journey of the Israelites when they came out of Egypt by divisions under the leadership of Moses and Aaron. 2 At the Lord’s command Moses recorded the stages in their journey. This is their journey by stages:
3 The Israelites set out from Rameses on the fifteenth day of the first month, the day after the Passover. They marched out defiantly in full view of all the Egyptians, 4 who were burying all their firstborn, whom the Lord had struck down among them; for the Lord had brought judgment on their gods.
5 The Israelites left Rameses and camped at Sukkoth.
6 They left Sukkoth and camped at Etham, on the edge of the desert.
7 They left Etham, turned back to Pi Hahiroth, to the east of Baal Zephon, and camped near Migdol.
8 They left Pi Hahiroth[a] and passed through the sea into the desert, and when they had traveled for three days in the Desert of Etham, they camped at Marah.
9 They left Marah and went to Elim, where there were twelve springs and seventy palm trees, and they camped there.
10 They left Elim and camped by the Red Sea.[b]
11 They left the Red Sea and camped in the Desert of Sin.
12 They left the Desert of Sin and camped at Dophkah.
13 They left Dophkah and camped at Alush.
14 They left Alush and camped at Rephidim, where there was no water for the people to drink.
15 They left Rephidim and camped in the Desert of Sinai.
16 They left the Desert of Sinai and camped at Kibroth Hattaavah.
17 They left Kibroth Hattaavah and camped at Hazeroth.
18 They left Hazeroth and camped at Rithmah.
19 They left Rithmah and camped at Rimmon Perez.
20 They left Rimmon Perez and camped at Libnah.
21 They left Libnah and camped at Rissah.
22 They left Rissah and camped at Kehelathah.
23 They left Kehelathah and camped at Mount Shepher.

40 The Canaanite king of Arad, who lived in the Negev of Canaan, heard that the Israelites were coming.
41 They left Mount Hor and camped at Zalmonah.
42 They left Zalmonah and camped at Punon.
43 They left Punon and camped at Oboth.
44 They left Oboth and camped at Iye Abarim, on the border of Moab.
45 They left Iye Abarim and camped at Dibon Gad.
46 They left Dibon Gad and camped at Almon Diblathaim.
47 They left Almon Diblathaim and camped in the mountains of Abarim, near Nebo.
48 They left the mountains of Abarim and camped on the plains of Moab by the Jordan across from Jericho. 49 There on the plains of Moab they camped along the Jordan from Beth Jeshimoth to Abel Shittim.
50 On the plains of Moab by the Jordan across from Jericho the Lord said to Moses, 51 “Speak to the Israelites and say to them: ‘When you cross the Jordan into Canaan, 52 drive out all the inhabitants of the land before you. Destroy all their carved images and their cast idols, and demolish all their high places. 53 Take possession of the land and settle in it, for I have given you the land to possess. 54 Distribute the land by lot, according to your clans. To a larger group give a larger inheritance, and to a smaller group a smaller one. Whatever falls to them by lot will be theirs. Distribute it according to your ancestral tribes.
55 “‘But if you do not drive out the inhabitants of the land, those you allow to remain will become barbs in your eyes and thorns in your sides. They will give you trouble in the land where you will live. 56 And then I will do to you what I plan to do to them.’”

“These are the camping sites in the journey of the People of Israel after they left Egypt, deployed militarily under the command of Moses and Aaron. Under God’s instruction Moses kept a log of every time they moved, camp by camp …” [verses 1 and 2, NIV]. At last, they reached the last frontier! Planes have a black box. Ships have a logbook. Moses, by God’s command, wrote down the departures of each of the stages of the long journey through the wilderness. The address of the house where you spent your childhood or where you raised your children may not be of much importance to the rest of the world. However, for you it is a treasure chest of memories of stages of your life, some of them beautiful and others marked by tears. All of them, pleasant or difficult, are part of your story. Only you, by sharing them with your children, give meaning and history to each place and each date. Likewise, this record would evoke many experiences for the people of Israel. But we also have to look ahead. They were about to cross the last frontier. All those who left Egypt would become but a memory. The new generation would have a fresh start. God warns them of the dangers. ” take over the land and make yourself at home in it; I’ve given it to you. It’s yours.” verse 53 [The Message]. Take possession, settle in it, and occupy it; [and don’t forget to cast out what God does not like.] Do not forget the past but fight for the future.
