Salmos 119 (Ain: 121-128) Tu siervo soy yo, dame entendimiento.
121 Juicio y justicia he hecho; No me dejes á mis opresores.
122 Responde por tu siervo para bien: No me hagan violencia los soberbios.
123 Mis ojos desfallecieron por tu salud, Y por el dicho de tu justicia.
124 Haz con tu siervo según tu misericordia, Y enséñame tus estatutos.
125 Tu siervo soy yo, dame entendimiento; Para que sepa tus testimonios.
126 Tiempo es de hacer, oh Jehová; Disipado han tu ley.
127 Por eso he amado tus mandamientos Más que el oro, y más que oro muy puro.
128 Por eso todos los mandamientos de todas las cosas estimé rectos: Aborrecí todo camino de mentira.

El amor de Dios es infinito. Me pregunto: ¿Es la paciencia de Dios también infinita? Ciertamente Dios es lento para la ira y grande en misericordia [Salmo 103:8]. En el versículo 126 el salmista expresa su ansiedad al ver lo que está pasando a su alrededor. Las fuerzas espirituales no pueden obrar mientras operan las fuerzas terrenales. “Señor, ya es tiempo de que hagas algo, pues han desobedecido tu enseñanza.” [versículo 126, Versión Dios Habla Hoy]. Alguien podría pensar que el salmista le reclama a Dios, pero probablemente esto esté muy lejos de la mente del salmista que esta alrmado al ver que sus enemigos han anulado la ley de Dios. No busca socorro para su propia protección, liberación, o sanidad; aquí está en juego la obediencia a Su Palabra. Aunque sabemos que Dios no se ajusta a nuestros tiempos, hay circunstancias que nos mueven a invocar la intervención Divina. Somos testigos de una guerra innecesaria, de crímenes atroces, de leyes que aprueban lo que Dios condena, de inigualdad y discriminación; y al ver todo esto nos impacientamos. Dios tiene su tiempo para contestar nuestras oraciones. Para dar el color una flor, Dios toma su tiempo, como también lo hace para hacer crecer un roble gigante. Si Dios tiene Su tiempo para actuar, ¡no nos impacientemos! Cuando yo no puedo más, Jesus entra en la escena y obra porque Su amor es infinito.
Psalms 119 (Samech 121-128): Therefore I love thy commandments above gold.
121 I have done judgment and justice: leave me not to mine oppressors.
122 Be surety for thy servant for good: let not the proud oppress me.
123 Mine eyes fail for thy salvation, and for the word of thy righteousness.
124 Deal with thy servant according unto thy mercy, and teach me thy statutes.
125 I am thy servant; give me understanding, that I may know thy testimonies.
126 It is time for thee, Lord, to work: for they have made void thy law.
127 Therefore I love thy commandments above gold; yea, above fine gold.
128 Therefore I esteem all thy precepts concerning all things to be right; and I hate every false way.

God’s love is infinite. I wonder: Is God’s patience also infinite? “The Lord is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in faithful love.” [Psalm 103:8, Christian Standard Bible]. In verse 126 the psalmist expresses his anxiety as he sees what is going on all around him. Spiritual forces cannot work while earthly forces operate. “Lord, it is time for you to do something, because ·people have disobeyed your teachings.” [verse 126, Expanded Bible Version]. Someone might think that the psalmist is dictating God’s timing, but this is probably furthest from his mind. He is enraged to see that his enemies have annulled God’s law. He does not seek help for his own protection, deliverance, or healing; obedience to His Word is what’s at stake here. Although we know that God does not fit our times, there are circumstances the urgency of which move us to invoke Divine intervention. We are witnessing an unnecessary war, heinous crimes, laws that approve what God condemns, inequality and discrimination; and when we see all this, we get impatient. God has His time to answer our prayers. To give the color of a flower, God takes His time, as He also does to grow a giant oak tree. If God has His time to act, we shouldn’t be impatient! When I can’t take it anymore, Jesus enters the scene and does His work, because His love is infinite.
